Quality Assurance and Data Validation on Ozone precursor Monitoring from Photochemical Assesment Monitoring Stations (PAMS) in 2016-2017

The main objectives of this program included implementing the quality assurance audits of analytical systems for Photochemical Assessment Monitoring Stations (PAMS), standardizing the data processing procedures for the collected results, characterizing the local pollutant profiles of different regions, evaluating the current effectiveness of the Photochemical Assessment Monitoring Stations (PAMS) operation. The instrument quality assurance auditing manual was revised and audits error were carried out accordingly of the program achievement. In the other hands, the availability of 9 stations and 2 mobile laboratory, which have 18 times for 2016, and 26 times for 2017 had less than 90% of the quality assurance criteria because standard going beyond the acceptance criteria and aging of the instrument parts. The system quality assurance audits results indicated that the relative percent deviations of retention times of all stations met the quality assurance criteria of ± 5% and the deviation range within 1 minute. The annual performance check results indicated a few compounds, include Toluene and Styrene, were found to exceed the ± 25% limit for Mobile Laboratory 5 for 2016, and the annual performance check results indicated that all stations met the quality control criteria of ±25% for 2017. Photochemical monitoring results and ozone relative analysis in 2016 show that the most ozone contribution comes from Zhongming station while the least ozone contribution comes from Taixi station, And most ozone contribution comes from Zhongming station while the least ozone contribution comes from Taixi station for 2017. According to Photochemical monitoring results for 2016 and 2017, characteristic pollutant of mobile exhaust had found from most of the monitoring station in photochemical monitoring results, iso-Pentane(gas station) had found in Wanhua and Tucheng station, m,p-Xylene(wastewater treatment plant) in Zhongming station and Puzi station, Propylene(Petrochemical Industry) in Taixi station, 1-Butene (Petrochemical Industry) in Qiaotou station, iso-Pentane(gas station), Ethane, n-Butane(Petrochemical Industry) had found in Xiaogang station, n-Butane in Chaozhou station(Petrochemical Industry).
